Jacy Jayne appeared on the Busted Open Podcast. Jayne commented on Tatum Paxley’s recent momentum and the crowd support she has received. “So, you can feel how ready she is when she speaks. She’s ready to take that next step, she knows she’s capable of taking that next step and the people are so behind her,” Jayne said. “I did kind of get chills in the ring last night, because it did feel very personal. Not even personal towards me. Just personal in general, and I’ve been in her shoes. I know what that feels like, so I feel for her. But yeah, I think Tatum (Paxley) is very underrated.”
Jayne also addressed recent changes within her faction, Fatal Influence. The group previously included Jazmyn Nyx, who was written off television when she was ambushed by a mystery attacker. That attacker was later revealed to be Lainey Reid, who has since taken Nyx’s place in the group alongside Jayne and Fallon Henley.
Jayne discussed Reid’s addition to the faction. “I think it’s still too soon to really say anything. We had our first match — me and Lainey (Reid) together — last night. Before that, we had had a singles match and I felt we had great chemistry right off the bat,” Jayne said. She also commented on Reid’s potential: “I definitely think Lainey is a huge… I don’t wanna say upgrade because that’s so mean but, she’s definitely gonna fit the part and she’s gonna do a good job. She’s a great worker. She’s like a sponge, she listens to everything, she takes everything in really well.”
Jayne concluded her thoughts on the roster change with a joke about her own history of rotating partners within factions. “But, I’m kind of used to new partners all the time. This isn’t anything new to me,” she said. “It’s all part of adapting. Things change all the time. This is show business. Last-minute changes, things you never thought would happen. You just kind of have to go with the flow and figure it out as you go.”
