Should WWE ever book Evolution 2, there is a NXT star who is looking to be on the card against a notable name.
Evolution 1 occurred on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The show was headlined by Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey.
Rousey recently revealed that WWE wanted to book her in a match against Becky Lynch a few weeks after WrestleMania 35 in 2019 at Evolution 2, but Rousey turned down the match. It’s unclear why WWE didn’t move forward with the event regardless of Rousey’s involvement.
While speaking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez talked about hoping there is a second event and being on the card with Bayley.
Perez stated, “I’d love that. I’ve been waiting for an Evolution II for a pretty long time. Now I can possibly be a part of it. The first time I watched it I was watching from my couch probably 15, or 16 years old. I was dying to be part of that one day. Yeah, hopefully, they can put together an Evolution II. Maybe me versus Bayley?”
Perez is slated to make her next title defense against Jaida Parker this Sunday at the NXT No Mercy PLE.
