WWE is not done with the revamp of NXT 2.0.
PWInsider is reporting that there has been a big change made to the creative process and NXT will no longer operate independently from the main roster creative. When Triple H was running the brand, they did not fall under the same rules at the Raw and SmackDown shows and they operated somewhat as a separate entity but those days have ended.
As part of last week’s changes that included the release of several backstage personnel, the NXT creative team will now fall under the oversight of Bruce Prichard and Christine Lubrano. All ideas and concepts will be reported to them for approval, the same way that things are done on the main roster.
It was also reported that Johnny Russo will be the head of the NXT writing team under Prichard and Lubrano. Russo has been with the company since 2011 and had been part of creative for Raw and SmackDown and later as part of NXT creative.
Dewey Foley (Mick’s son) and Anthony Golden Jr. will remain as part of NXT creative. It’s unclear how much this will affect the brand but if you notice a change to how things are presented on TV then you can point to the changes that were made over the last week or so.
