WWE NXT is expected to host its final premium live event of the year, NXT Deadline, in Texas. A report from Fightful Select states that Deadline is scheduled for Saturday, December 6. The event is slated to take place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
The scheduling places the NXT event in a busy period for the company. It is set to occur one week after the main roster’s Survivor Series event and one week before the recently announced John Cena’s Final Match, which will be held in Washington, D.C.
The Deadline event has centered on the Iron Survivor Challenge match since its introduction in 2022. The show traditionally features two such matches, one for the male roster and one for the female roster, with the winners earning a future championship opportunity.
The Iron Survivor Challenge lasts for twenty-five minutes and begins with two participants. A new entrant is added every five minutes until all five competitors have entered the match.
Participants earn points by scoring a fall via pinfall or submission. The participant who is pinned or submitted must then enter a penalty box for ninety seconds. Once the twenty-five-minute time limit expires, the participant who has accumulated the most points is declared the winner.
