NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan vs. Sol Ruca was booked at this year’s WWE NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
There was a stalemate in the early going of the bout. Ruca dropped her down and began working her over with submissions. Jordan tossed her to the floor and hit an outside dive. Back in the ring, Sol hit a spring board front flip clothesline for 2. Jordan with a poisonranna, sending Sol to the floor and then hit a spring board moonsault. Sol took out Ruca with an outside dive as well and got back into the ring to break the count. They traded pin attempts before Sol hit her with a powerbomb for 2. Jordan with a poisonranna off the top rope before hitting a split legged moonsault for the win.
Winner: Kelani Jordan
