WWE NXT Heatwave Results: Roxanne Perez Retains Women’s Title In Hard-Fought Defense

NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez vs. Lola Vice was booked at this year’s WWE NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match: 

Vice went for several quick pin attempts before Perez pulled her down by the hair. Vice fired back with a series of kicks in the corner. Vice caught her with a rear-naked choke, but Perez rolled out of the ring and bounced Vice off the announce table to break the hold. Vice with a spinning back fist and hit the ring post. Perez then target the right hand. Perez went for a spring board moonsault, but Vice moved and put her in a triangle choke, but Perez got out. Vice with a spinning back fist and Perez fell to the floor. Perez with pop rocks for 2. Perez did the finishing move on the announce table before tossing her into the ring for 2. Perez went right for the crossface, but Vice was about to get the bottom rope so Perez hit several pop rocks for the win.
