NXT Champion Ricky Saints challenges Trick Williams

NXT started with the NXT Champion Ricky Saints in the ring. He said he wants to give Trick Williams his rematch at Halloween Havoc. Williams appeared on the monitor. He said Saints waited his whole life to get to the spot he’s in now while he pulled up here and was in the spotlight right away. Williams said he is going to be a three time champion, but on his time. 

Backstage:

Je’Von Williams and Leon Slater both said they would have won the match at TNA Bound for Glory if it wasn’t for Dark States’ interference. The Hardys came in. They told Williams and Slater that Dark State did what they did because they are threats to them. The Hardys said they have a rematch against Dark State at Halloween Havoc and they are going to lay in some receipts for Williams and Slater.

NXT Anonymous:

Kelani Jordan argued with Jordynne Grace. Jordan told Grace she was a big fish in a small pond. Grace told Jordan she will see her out there later tonight

Matt Cardona vs Josh Briggs

Cardona hit an Unprettier for a near fall. Briggs countered a powerbomb from Cardona.  Briggs hit Cardona with a backbreaker and chokeslam for a near fall. Briggs grabbed his chain but the referee took it away from him. Cardona hit the Radio Silence but Briggs came back and hit him with a powerbomb. Cardona went for a tornado DDT but Briggs escaped it and gave him a boot to the face to pin him.

Winner: Josh Briggs

Backstage:

Tatum Paxley said she was looking for Tatum Paxley. Hank and Tank and Chase U both said they should be next in line for an NXT Tag Team title match. Izzy Dame said Niko Vance and Shawn Spears deserve the next shot. Izzy said she is going to win the Battle Royal with Tatum by her side.

Lainey Reed joins Fatal Influence

Backstage, Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne discussed their group, Fatal Influence, stating they formed it to take over the division and have been running things since. They acknowledged facing problems, but said the biggest issue was a person they brought into the group, who they decided it was time to get rid of. They added that the person who removed her from the picture proved their loyalty.

Lainey Reid then walked in, calling Henley and Jayne “titans” of the division who she watched ascend to the top. Reid explained that losing to Jacy made her realize that to be successful, she needed to follow in their footsteps. Adopting their “winning at all costs” mentality, Reid aligned herself with the group, leading Jacy to officially welcome her into Fatal Influence.

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. vs Lexis King

Wagner delivered a knee to King’s face followed by a powerbomb for a near fall. King hit Wagner with a superkick and a spinning knee whip. King missed a senton off the top rope. Wagner hit King with a Shining Wizard and a Michinoku Driver to pin him.

Winner: El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.

After the match, NXT North American Champion Ethan Page came out. He told Wagner he set up a match between the two of them for Page’s title at Halloween Havoc. Wagner talked in Spanish. Page said he doesn’t know what he just said. Wagner said he spoke with Ava and the match will be contested in a Day of the Dead match.

Backstage:

Sol Ruka told Zaria she is going to be in the Battle Royal tonight so she can get a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Zaria asked her, “How many titles do you need”, and then told her to stay backstage instead of being in her corner against Blake Monroe.

Backstage:

A loud noise was heard. The cameras cut to the back where Trick Williams had already attacked Ricky Saints. Ava told Williams to get out while calling for the medical team to come over.

Blake Monroe vs Zaria

Despite Monroe telling Sol Ruka she doesn’t need her in her corner earlier in the show, Ruka came down when she saw Monroe getting ready to use a steel chair on Zaria. With the referee distracted by Ruka coming down, Monroe took a hair pick out of her knee pad and hit Zaria in the throat with it. She then hit the Beauty Shot on Zaria and pinned her.

Winner: Blake Monroe

Backstage:

Ava announced that the Men’s Speed Championship will begin next week. Axiom will take on Shawn Legacy. Zachary Wentz will take on Jasper Troy. The winners will advance to the finals. The winner of that match will get a shot against the Men’s Speed Champion El Grande Americano.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match: Hank and Tank vs Chase U (Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors) vs The Culling (Shawn Spears & Niko Vance) 

Hank and Tank hit a double neck breaker on Spears. Chase U came off the top rope onto Hank and Tank. Lucien Price and Bronco Nima interfered and attacked all three teams so there was no winner.

Backstage:

Sol Ruka told Zaria it was her fault and said they will win the tag team titles. Zaria said she will always be there for her. Ruka then gave Zaria her spot in the Battle Royal.

Backstage:

Ricky Saints was looking for Trick Williams. Ava told him he’s gone. Ava said he will see Trick next week at the contract signing for Halloween Havoc.

NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Battle Royal

The final four were Jordynne Grace, Izzi Dame, Kendal Grey, and Tatum Paxley. Paxley had a rear naked choke on Grace. Dame tosses out Grey. Dame then goes for a clothesline that sent both her and Grace over the ropes to the floor for a double elimination. That leaves Paxley as the sole survivor, and she wins the battle royal to earn a title shot.

After the match, Fatal Influence had a staredown with Paxley. Lyra Valkyria then celebrated with Paxley. 

Winner: Tatum Paxley
