WWE NXT moving back to Full Sail University?

WWE may be moving the NXT brand back to Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida soon after holding shows at the Performance Center since October 2020.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there is talk of bringing NXT 2.0 back to Full Sail.

WWE started filming NXT shows at the university in 2012 in addition to hosting Tough Enough, the Cruiserweight Classic, the Mae Young Classic, and other shows. When NXT was moved to the USA Network and expanded to a live two-hour program, the university continued to host the show.

Once the COVID-19 pandemic started in early 2020, WWE stopped taping shows because the students were no longer on campus to help with WWE production. The partnership had several perks for students including the opportunity to learn production skills and scholarships. The partnership led to well over $500,000 in scholarships.

At the time of the partnership ending, it was reported the split was amicable and WWE planned to return to the school once crowds were allowed again and as COVID restrictions were lifted.
