We are live with ongoing coverage of WWE NXT. As always, we will post updates immediately after every match so refresh this page often.

NXT and TNA team captains named for Showdown:

NXT General Manager Ava came out and named Ricky Saints and Jacy Jayne as team captains for the NXT brand. She said they can pick their teammates. Santino Marella came out for TNA and revealed that Mike Santana and Kelani Jordan will serve as captains for the TNA side.

Backstage:

Leon Slater was talking backstage with Je’Von Evans. They are excited about their title match set for TNA Bound For Glory. Shawn Spears and The Culling didn’t like Evans being friendly with a TNA talent and challenged them to a tag team match tonight.

After Slater and Evans left, Lyra Valkyria gave Tatum Paxley a new doll. Paxley threw her other blonde doll behind her as Izzi Dame looked irritated.

Jaida Parker vs Lash Legend

Legend kicked Parker in the face, sending her out of the ring. Legend went after her and threw her into the ring steps and into the barricade. She threw Parker back in the ring. Parker blocked the Lash Extension, hit her with the Hipnotic, and pinned her.

Winner: Jaida Parker

Backstage:

Trick Williams told Ricky Saints they should be co-captains at Showdown. Saints told him he’s already picked Je’Von Evans to be on his team so there are only two spots left. Williams said he doesn’t like Evans, but we need him. Saints told Williams he’s also picked Myles Borne to be on his team. Williams said we need Josh Briggs. Evans wasn’t pleased with hearing Briggs may be on the team. Saints told Evans he has to put his differences aside because he doesn’t like Briggs either, but he’s a good choice. Williams suggested to Saints that Myles Borne should face Josh Briggs with the winner joining NXT. Saints said he liked that idea.

Ethan Page – Mustafa Ali to meet at Showdown:

Page was in the ring. Mustafa Ali came out and said he has no issues with him, but does have an issue with what he’s holding (NXT North American Championship). Page said he has no issues with him and doesn’t owe him anything. Ali said Page doesn’t owe him anything but NXT does because it wasn’t that long ago that he earned an opportunity at the North American Championship, and it never came. Instead of getting that match, he got a phone call that his services were no longer needed. He’s still waiting for the championship match that he’s earned.

Ali said he spoke to Ava and Santino, and next week, at Showdown, he will get his opportunity for that title against Page. Page said he’s going to beat him next week and wish him his best in his future endeavors. Ali punched Page and knocked him out of the ring.

Backstage:

Jacy Jayne picked Jaida Parker and Sol Ruca to be on her team at Showdown. Lola Vice told Jayne she is willing to put her differences aside and fight for NXT. Fallon Henley said she didn’t trust Lola. Jayne said tonight it will be Vice vs Henley with the winner getting a spot on the team.

Myles Borne vs Josh Briggs

Briggs pulled off the chain he was wearing around his neck and was getting ready to use it. Matt Cardona got on the ring apron and stopped him. The referee pulled the chain away from Briggs. Borne hit Briggs with a dropkick, gave him the Borne Again, and pinned him.

Winner: Myles Borne

Backstage:

Jordynne Grace told Kelani Jordan that she held the TNA Knockouts Championship for a long time and she hopes Kelani will carry it with pride. She mentioned that TNA means a lot to her, doesn’t trust Jacy Jayne, and would much rather be on TNA. Kelani said she doesn’t know where Jordynne stands because her past is TNA, but her present is NXT.

Joe Hendry and Mike Santana appeared. Santana said Jordynne and Hendry seem to have one foot in and one foot out. Santana told Kelani there are some people he wants her to meet.

Fallon Henley (w/ Jacy Jayne) vs Lola Vice

Lola kicked Henley a couple times and gave her a suplex. She followed it up with a back suplex and a series of kicks to the legs of Henley. Vice ducked a punch, hit her with the spinning back fist, and pinned her to become part of the NXT team.

Winner: Lola Vice

Backstage:

Jacy Jayne told Fallon Henley she shouldn’t have put her in a match with Vice. Lainey Reid showed up and said she wasn’t cleared by the doctors, but admitted she was the one under the hood at NXT No Mercy. She said as for Jazmyn Nyx, she never really belonged in Fatal Influence.

The Culling (Niko Vance & Shawn Spears) (w/ Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) vs Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater

Evans hit Vane with a flying kick. Spears superkicked Evans. Slater came off the top rope but got hit by a knee by Spears. Slater hit a cutter on both Vance and Spears. Evans then hit Vance and Spears with a cutter. Evans dove over the top rope onto Vance. Slater came off the top rope with a swanton 450 on Spears and pinned him.

Winners: Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater

NXT and TNA teams picked for Showdown:

As we went to the commercial break, what looked to be almost the entire TNA roster were heading in from the parking lot. When they came back from the break, the TNA and NXT rosters were outside the ring.

Ava, Santino Marella, Trick Williams, Ricky Saints, Jacy Jayne, Mike Santana, and Kelani Jordan were in the ring. Williams said he is the co-captain. Saints told him to slow his role.

Saints said his team will be himself, Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Borne.

Santana picked Frankie Kazarian, Moose, and Leon Slater.

Jacy Jayne picked Sol Ruka, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice.

Kelani Jordan picked Cassie Lee, Jessica McKay, and Mara Sade.

Santana said next week, TNA is winning Showdown the same way he is going to enter TNA Bound for Glory and will be bringing home the TNA title where it belongs. Santana punched Trick Williams and the two rosters began brawling with each other. Shawn Michaels came to watch this as the show went off the air.
