WWE NXT star comments on his recovery from surgery

Ridge Holland had his first big push cut short thanks to injury as he suffered a left ankle dislocation and fracture, a patellar dislocation, and a ruptured patellar tendon last year.

It happened during an episode of NXT TV last October. He had to get surgery to fix some of the injuries such as the patellar tendon rupture, which can take anywhere from 6-12 months to heal. Before he was injured, plans called for him to feud with Adam Cole.

The WWE NXT star did an interview with Alex McCarthy of TalkSport to discuss the injuries.

“On my left leg I fractured and dislocated my ankle and then on my right leg, I dislocated the kneecap and ruptured my patella tendons. Kind of a buy one get one free on injuries! But, it’s coming on well. The WWE medical staff are top-notch and they’ve got me well on the road to recovery.

It’s early days yet, but the doctor has said six to nine months, so I’m just taking it day-by-day and see how the knee and ankle feels. If I look too far in the future I’ll probably take my focus on what needs to be done today. So yeah, we’ll see how it goes.”

Holland also talked about William Regal’s influence on his career, getting into pro wrestling, and more. Check out the full interview here.
