WWE has a lot of talent under contract, whether on the main roster with Raw and SmackDown or in NXT.
Over the last year, WWE has continued to sign developmental talent with little or no wrestling background, while others have been wrestling on the independent scene for years.
Dragon Lee was a big signing for WWE as the company has high hopes for Lee. The expectation was he would be fast-tracked to the main roster because they thought he could be the next great Mexican star, such as Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.
He signed last December and was introduced on TV just months later. There had been speculation that he was quietly called up to the main roster.
WWE made it official as he has been added to the SmackDown roster on WWE.com. He scored a win over Austin Theory last Friday on SmackDown.
