According to PWInsider.com, WWE NXT Superstar Wes Lee may have suffered a foot or ankle injury during Monday night’s taping of WWE Main Event. The severity of the injury remains unknown, but Lee is reportedly undergoing evaluation.
Lee was scheduled to be part of the NXT TV tapings tonight in Lowell, Massachusetts. However, there’s no confirmation of his presence as of this writing.
This news comes as a concern for NXT fans, as Lee has been a prominent figure on the brand recently. Lee recently challenged his former tag team partner Je’Von Evans in a competitive match on the December 10th episode of NXT. He also came close to securing a shot at the NXT Championship, falling short in a hard-fought Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline on December 7th. Throughout November and December, Lee participated in several high-profile matches on NXT, including facing Trick Williams, Ethan Page, and Cedric Alexander.
