WWE NXT Superstar Now Internally Listed On Main Roster

Trick Williams appears to have officially graduated from NXT, as new reports indicate that the former NXT Champion is now listed internally as a member of the SmackDown roster. This development comes on the heels of an appearance at the recent WWE television tapings in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Williams was involved in a segment.

According to a report from Bodyslam.net, Williams was backstage for the December 19 double taping, and sources within the company have confirmed his new status. “Bodyslam.net’s Cory Hays is now reporting that Trick Williams is listed as a SmackDown Superstar internally,” the report states. “This means that Trick Willy will likely make his way to the main roster on a full-time basis very soon.”

Fans will not have to wait long to see Williams make his mark. During the taping for the December 26 episode of SmackDown, Williams was involved in a major segment. Williams’ call-up has been anticipated for months.

His rise in NXT, dubbed the “Whoop That Trick” era, saw him capture the brand’s top title and engage in memorable rivalries. Now, it appears WWE management believes he has the drive and “a little bit of luck” needed to succeed on the grandest stage.

In addition to Williams, the December 26 episode also featured a hype video for current NXT powerhouse Oba Femi. You can check out the spoilers here.
