Todd Pettengill was introduced as the host before the first match.

NXT North American Championship and Tag Team Championship – Winner Takes All
Bronson Reed and MSK vs. Legado del Fantasma

Wes Lee and Raul Mendoza started the match. A minute into the match, it was Nash Carter vs. Joaquin Wilde for back and forth action as the pace slowly picked up. Santos Escobar tagged him and Carter then tagged in Bronson Reed but Escobar quickly tagged out because he wanted no part of Reed. Escobar finally tagged himself in when he saw an opening to attack Reed. They did a spot with all members of the babyface side doing dives onto Legado del Fantasma on the outside of the ring. That included Reed doing a dive through the ropes to the outside. Late in the match, Mendoza almost had the match won when he hit Reed with the Michinoku Driver but the pin was broken up. Later on, Reed ran at Mendoza and he crashed through the barricade and plexiglass as the action continued in the ring. A triple team on Mendoza led to Reed hitting a splash off the top and the pin to retain the titles.

They showed a backstage altercation from earlier between members of The Way and Kyle O’Reilly. Then they went to Todd Pettingill backstage. They showed Mercedes Martinez defeating Xia Li at the Mae Young Classic 4 years ago.

Mercedes Martinez vs. Xia Li

Xia got her big entrance and then the match started and they locked up and tumbled through the ropes but they quickly moved back into the ring. This was a quick match. Li pinned Martinez after hitting her spin kick to the face. After the match, Li tried to attack with a steel chair but Martinez kicked her and she used the chair on Boa and Li. Mei Ying appeared and she walked to Martinez, grabbed her by the neck and threw her up against the barricade.

Million Dollar Championship – Ladder Match
Cameron Grimes vs. LA Knight

Ted DiBiase got his entrance and the belt was brought out in a case by security before the match got started.

They had a regular wrestling match for a couple of minutes before they had a ladder joust in the ring. Grimes shoved Knight to the barricade with a ladder and then followed up with the soccer kick to the head. There were ladders all around the ringside area.

The first big ladder spot happened when Grimes German suplexed Knight’s back onto a ladder that was sitting in the corner of the ring. Knight came back with a neck breaker onto the ladder. Shortly after, Knight tried to shove Grimes into a ladder that was positioned on the top turnbuckle but Grimes countered and Knight’s head smashed into the ladder. Knight also took a back body drop onto another ladder and another big bump onto a ladder bridge outside of the ring.

Grimes brought the gold ladder in the ring to grab the belt but Knight got up and was shoved off but Knight pushed the ladder with Grimes on it and Grimes fell into the ring. Late in the match, Grimes was close to grabbing the belt in the case but Knight toppled the ladder and Grimes crashed through a ladder bridge outside of the ring. Knight then grabbed the case to win the title.

There was a mech segment with Todd Pettengill and Hit Row. Then they cut over to a backstage altercation between Karrion Kross and Pete Dunne.

NXT Women’s Championship
Raquel Gonzalez vs. Ember Moon

Dakota Kai was at ringside for the match. Shotzi Blackheart was not there. Gonzalez dominated the first few minutes of the match, including a pin attempt after a twisting Vader Bomb. Moon came back with a forearm and a Code Red into a pin attempt. Moon put Gonzalez in a submission but Kai pushed the bottom rope to allow Gonzalez to grab it so the referee could break the hold. Moon followed up by diving through the ropes onto Gonzalez. A short time later, Moon hit a modified Eclipse and then a Code Breaker from the top rope. Moon then hit the Eclipse off the top rope but Kai put Gonzalesz’s leg on the bottom rope. Shotzi Blackheart ran out to attack Kai. They brawled to the stage and towards the backstage area. Moon hit a DDT of the top rope to the ramp. She rolled Gonzalez into the ring for a pin but she kicked out. Moon tried another Eclipse but Gonzalez countered into the snake eyes in the buckle and the chokeslam into the pin to retain the title.

Todd Pettengill played Karate Fighters with Dexter Lumis but Lumis got upset when asked how the women are treating him these days.

They announced NXT: The Great American Bash for Tuesday, July 6 on USA.

NXT Championship – Fatal 5-Way Match
Karrion Kross vs. Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne

It was Dunne and Kross starting the match as everyone else brawled around the ringside area. Kross took out Dunne so up next was O’Reilly and then Kross vs. Gargano and then Kross vs. Cole.

They did a spot with Gargano and Dunne taking out Kross by shoving him through the IYH door so Kross would be out of the match for the next few minutes. Dunne and Gargano were slow to get up by the stage so it was Cole vs. O’Reilly in the ring for the next couple of minutes until Gargano and Dunne got back in it.

After about 5 minutes, Kross got back into the match and he took out several wrestlers at ringside and then he focused on Gargano in the ring. Late in the match, Kross hit a German suplex on everyone but then the tables turned and he took kicks from O’Reilly, Gargano, and Dunne and a superkick from Cole. O’Reilly and Cole worked together to powerbomb Kross onto the announcer’s table.

Cole almost had the match won on Gargano with the Panama Sunrise but Dunne pulled Cole out of the ring and then he hit a brain buster outside of the ring. At this point, Kross got up and he fought Dunne in the ring. There were several finishers hit and near falls by this point. Kross kicked out of the Bitter End and Dunne locked in the triangle choke but the rest of the guys ran in to break it up. Moments later, Gargano hit Dunne with the One Final Beat but Kross caught Gargano in the chokehold but Cole broke it up and then O’Reilly hit Kross with the knee off the top to the back of the head. Cole superkicked O’Reilly during the pin attempt. O’Reilly locked Cole in a heel hook but Kross grabbed O’Reilly and locked him in the choke. O’Reilly passed out and the ref called the match.

After the match, Wiliam Regal was asked backstage to give his thoughts on the main event. Regal said he’s been the GM for 7 years and he’s never seen so much madness and it’s time for a change.
