During the pre-show, William Regal talked about the main event between Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole for the NXT Championship. Each man will get to pick a stipulation for each fall and if it goes to three falls then they will wrestle inside of a steel cage that includes weapons and barbed wire around the top.
NXT Tag Team Championship
Street Profits vs. The Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish)
This was a fantastic match. Street Profits retained after Montez Ford hit a splash off the top rope onto Kyle O’Reilly. This match had a bunch of insane spots. Street Profits celebrated their win with the fans.
Johnny Gargano was shown backstage. Ricochet was shown in the crowd.
Candice LeRae vs. Io Shirai
LeRae didn’t do her full entrance because she was focused on getting her hands on Shirai after Shirai turned on her a few weeks ago on NXT TV. Within the first minute, Shirai executed a suplex on LeRae onto the announcer’s table at ringside. This match was awesome. At one point in the late stages of the match, LeRae hit a reverse Rana and then a reverse neck breaker off the top rope for a near fall. LeRae his an avalanche Spanish Fly off the top rope and that was almost enough to pin LeRae. Shirai almost won the match with a moonsault off the top but LeRae kicked out as fans chanted “NXT, NXT, NXT.” Shirai forced LeRae to pass out after locking in the Koji Clutch submission. Awesome match on an awesome show.
Matt Riddle walked out to the ring with a mic and he called out Killian Dane to fight him face to face. They brawled at ringside and on the stage area with officials running out to break them up. Riddle hit knees to several of the officials on the stage but that allowed Dain to get the upper hand with a crossbody. Dain also took out several officials on the stage. Riddle put a choke on Dain crashed through a table off the stage with Riddle on his back. One of the “security” also went through the table with them.
EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory was shown at ringside.
NXT North American Championship – Triple Threat Match
Velveteen Dream vs. Pete Dunne vs. Roderick Strong
Incredible match. Dream won after breaking up a pin attempt from Roderick Strong with an elbow drop onto Strong’s back while Strong was pinning Dunne. Dream pinned Dunne to retain his title.
NXT Women’s Championship
Shayna Baszler vs. Mia Yim
Good match but not as good as the rest of the show. Baszler won with a leg choke to retain her title.
NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff commercial aired. They showed WALTER and Tyler Bate sitting at ringside in different sections.
NXT Championship – Two-Out-of-Three Falls
Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano
This was incredible. Cole won the first fall by DQ because Gargano used a chair. Gargano won the second fall but the third fall was insane with handcuffs, kendo sticks, tables, chairs, a ladder, pliers, and a bunch of other weapons used. The finish was Gargano and Cole falling off the top of the cage and through two tables set up side by side. Cole draped his arm over Gargano and pinned him to retain his title.
