WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames: Men’s match

The Men’s WarGames match capped off an incredible night of action at WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames in Chicago. It was The Undisputed Era taking on Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, and a mystery partner.

Ciampa brought a crutch into the ring but he allowed Strong to have it. Strong said he doesn’t need it to beat Ciampa and he tossed it out of the ring and the match began. Per the match rules, the first two competitors wrestle for 5 minutes and the other competitors enter at 3-minute intervals. The official WarGames portion of the match doesn’t get started until everyone gets in the match.

Things really picked up with Adam Cole entered the match because he brought a tables into the ring and set one up on the barricade at ringside. As Cole tried to get into the ring, Ciampa shoved him into the table that was set up by the barricade. Ciampa closed the door while Cole was knocked out at ringside.

Kevin Owens was revealed to be the mystery man. He got a huge crowd reaction when his music played. He cleaned house and the heels took over on offense thanks to Owens’ help. A few minutes later, there was a nice sequence of moves between Owens and Cole. Cole nailed Owens with the Panama Sunrise in between both of the rings on the steel support.

A few minutes later, Dijakovic choke slammed Strong through a table. He tried to do the same to O’Reilly but O’Reilly locked in a submission but Dijakovic put O’Reilly on a table and Owens splashed him through the table. Meanwhile, Lee powerbombed Fish through a table. This was happening as Cole and Ciampa battled at the top of the cage. Ciampa picked up Cole on back and drove him off the top of the cage with the Air Raid/Death Valley Driver move and through two tables that were set up side by side. Wow. Britt Baker was shown in the crowd looking concerned.

1. Tommaso Ciampa
2. Roderick Strong
3. Kyle O’Reilly
4. Dominik Dijakovic
5. Bobby Fish
6. Keith Lee
