WarGames Match
Team Shotzi (Shotzi Blackheart, Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley, and Io Shirai) vs. Team Candice (Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Raquel González, and Toni Storm)

Blackheart came out with a new bigger tank for her entrance. Kai and Moon started the match. After the first 5 minutes, Blackheart entered the match and she brought a toolbox and a crowbar into the ring. Gonzalez was the next competitor to enter the match to even things up for the heel side.

Ripley was next to enter the match, followed by Storm. Storm brought kendo sticks into the ring. At one point, they did a convoluted tower of doom spot with three women tumbling in one ring and the other three in the other ring. The microphones picked up someone counting down so they could time the spot.

Shirai entered the match and she brought ladders into the ring. Gonzalez shoved the ladder into Shirai to knock her into the barricade so Shirai was not able to enter the match right away. Shirai kicked a chair into Gonzalez’s face and she as about to enter the ring but Gonzalez kept her out and Storm tied a belt around the door to keep it shut. LeRae was the final competitor.

Indie Hartwell attacked Shirai at ringside and she brought a chair and a trash can into the match to help LeRae. At this point, Shirai still was not able to get into the match and the cage door was locked with a chain. The WarGames part of the match was not started at this point because Shirai had yet to get into the ring and the heels had the advantage because they were using weapons.

Shirai went up to the top of the cage and then dove onto all of the women while wearing a trash can. This meant that the WarGames portion of the match could begin. They did a bunch of crazy spots with the various weapons and plenty of finishers and near falls. Team LeRae won after Gonzalez powerbombed Shirai through a ladder bridge in between both rings.

Finn Balor pre-taped promo. He says all eyes go back on The Prince this Wednesday.

Timothy Thatcher vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Thatcher was dominant for the first several minutes of this match until Ciampa took over for several offensive moves, including a super plex off the top rope. Moments later, Ciampa hit some knees to the face and then he transitioned into a Bulldog choke and Thatcher’s ear was busted open. Thatcher broke out of the choke with a German suplex.

Ciampa won the match with the Widow’s Bell (draping DDT off the rope). This was a hard-hitting and no-nonsense match.

Strap Match
Dexter Lumis vs. Cameron Grimes

Grimes was allowed to use his own strap instead of the strap provided by the referee. Grimes attacked Lumis but Lumis was not hooked to the strap so the match was not officially started, which meant that everything that Grimes was legal for some reason.

Lumis finally fought back and then put the strap on himself to officially start the match. Grimes tried to run but Lumis kept yanking him back towards him. Grimes also tried to climb over the barricade into the fans but Lumis pulled him down and the action continued around the ringside area for several minutes.

Grimes covered Lumis’s head with a burlap sack and then he whipped him with the other strap. The sack almost came off as Lumis got back into the ring and he adjusted it to keep it on his head. Lumis finally turned the tide but moments later Grimes hit a German suplex and Lumis’s head and back hit the corner of the ring. Grimes then used a chair on Lumis’s back.

Lumis won the match with a submission choke. This happened after Lumis tripped up Grimes and that sent him face first into a chair in the ring.

WWE NXT North American Championship – Triple Threat Match
Leon Ruff (Champion) vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Damian Priest

Gargano tried for an early win as Priest was knocked out of the ring but Ruff hit some impressive moved of his own to prove that he is not a joke. Priest kept warning Ruff to get out of the way but Ruff kept coming at him. Priest then hit a Razor’s Edge on Ruff through the barricade at ringside. Priest felt bad as the referees took Ruff away to the back. Ruff got back into the match a couple of minutes later and he took out both men, who were exhausted by this point.

Late in the match, three people dressed in Scream masks went in the ring to attack Priest but Preist fought them off and he took them out with a dive on them to the outside. Priest hit Gargano with a chokeslam on the ring apron and then Ruff quickly hit a splash and then tried for a pin attempt but Priest barely got in the ring to break up the pin.

Priest almost had the match won but another Scream masked person appeared and that person hit Priest with a pipe. Gargano then won the match by pinning Ruff after hitting the One Final Beat DDT. The mystery men were referred to as the army of ghost faces by the announcers. Austin Theory revealed that he was one of the ghost faced men.

NXT New Years Evil special announced for January 6. Basically another themed episode of NXT on USA.

WarGames Match
The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Bobby Fish) vs. Team McAfee (Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, Danny Burch, and Oney Lorcan)

Kyle O’Reilly and Pete Dunne started the match. Lorcan was next to enter the match after the first 5 minute time period. Fish was up next to even things up for the faces. Lorcan was up next and he brought in an orange bag with a cricket bat for himself and Dunne.

Strong was up next in the match and he took out the heel side since he was the fresh man in the ring. McAfee was up next to enter the ring and he brought tables into the ring. Each table had a name of one of The Undisputed Era members. McAfee drove strong through the “Strong” table with a moonsault off the top rope.

Cole entered the ring and he used a fire extinguisher on McAfee’s team. He also brought a chair and used it as he got into the ring. It took a while but Cole finally got his hands on McAfee with a chair to the back and then a brawl broke out as they piped in “NXT” chants.

There was another big spot a few minutes later in the match with Dunne being thrown onto Burch, who was on a table. The table didn’t break so Strong did a dive onto Dunne and Burch and the table broke. Cole put McAfee through the table that was meant for O’Reilly as they piped in “this is awesome” chants. They had the remaining members of Team McAfee pinned up against the fence and TUE trade turns hitting knees to the body and face so McAfee was the only man on his team left standing.

McAfee tried to escape but was quickly pulled back in and pummeled by all 4 members of TUE. McAfee’s team got back up to attack TUE. Moments later, McAfee did a giant dive off the top of the cage onto everyone who was brawling in the ring. Dunne and O’Reilly had a slugfest as everyone else was laid out. Dunne hit the Bitter End but O’Reilly kicked out of the pin attempt. O’Reilly hit a suplex onto the steel grate in between the rings onto Dunne but Dunne kicked out of the pin attempt.

Lots of crazy spots in this match. Cole hit the Panama Sunrise at one point but McAfee kicked out of the pin attempt. O’Reilly got the pin on Lorcan to win the match for his team. Great match and there was an insane level of action in the last couple of minutes. McAfee may have gotten hurt becuase the referee was checking on him after the match.
