WWE NXT Showdown Opening Match Revealed

The betting odds and the opening match have been revealed for this Tuesday’s “NXT vs. TNA Showdown” special event. The odds are pointing towards a night of split victories and a title unification. The odds, courtesy of BetOnline.ag, give an early indication of the expected outcomes for the four major inter-promotional matches.

In the Men’s Survivor Series Elimination Match, Team NXT is the favorite to win. The team of NXT Champion Ricky Saints, TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Myles Borne are listed at -300 (a 1/3 favorite). Their opponents, Team TNA, consisting of Mike Santana, Moose, Frankie Kazarian, and Leon Slater, are the underdogs at +200 (2/1). In the Women’s Survivor Series Elimination Match, however, the roles are reversed. Team TNA, comprised of TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan, The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay), and Mara Sade, are the -300 favorites. Team NXT’s Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice are the underdogs at +200.

The “Winner Take All” match for the NXT and TNA World Tag Team Championships has the most lopsided odds of the night. TNA World Tag Team Champions, The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy), are massive -1000 (1/10) favorites to defeat the NXT Tag Team Champions, DarkState, who are listed as +550 (11/2) underdogs.

In the final championship match on the card, the NXT North American Championship will be on the line as the champion, Ethan Page, defends his title against TNA’s Mustafa Ali. Page is the favorite to retain his title, currently listed at -275 (4/11), while the challenger, Mustafa Ali, is the underdog at +180 (9/5).
