WWE has canceled its planned NXT Live on The CW television taping next week. The show was originally set to take place on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
When WWE decided to cancel the event, around 1,700 tickets had already been given out or sold to WWE fans for the NXT show. The company did not provide an immediate official reason for canceling this specific NXT television taping.
This particular NXT event was meant to be a part of a big WWE Memorial Day weekend series of shows in Tampa. That series of events also includes a Saturday Night’s Main Event special, the Battleground Premium Live Event on Sunday, May 25th, and an episode of Monday Night Raw on Memorial Day itself, all happening in the same city.
Interestingly, the other WWE shows planned for Tampa over the holiday weekend seem to be drawing very well with ticket sales. Currently, both the Saturday Night’s Main Event and Monday Night Raw are reportedly almost sold out at the Yuengling Center. Additionally, the NXT Battleground Premium Live Event has already seen more than 6,000 tickets distributed to eager WWE fans.
