WWE is looking to expand the NXT UK brand as the company is reportedly close to signing several independent wrestlers to contracts.
Inside The Ropes reported the news on Saturday. NXT UK talent had arrived at the UK Performance Center for a three-week training session earlier this week ahead of the next set of TV tapings.
There were multiple talents in London for the tapings with the intention of WWE taking a closer look at them ahead of any potential signing.
Former World of Sport and Love Island star Adam Maxted wasn’t at the camp but did sign with the company. Sha Samuels is expected to sign with the company as he was actually offered a WWE contract back in January the deal wasn’t complete due to him dealing with an injury at the time.
Aleah James was at the camp. The final two names mentioned to be at the camp are Scottish star Molly Spartan and Tony Gill.
Spartan is in a relationship with current NXT UK Tag Team Champion Wolfgang while Gill had previously worked as Gursinder Singh in Impact Wrestling.
It was noted that there was another prominent unnamed talent that has signed and is in attendance for the camp.
Regarding COVID-19 testing procedures, wrestlers are at hotels for the tapings and they have been tested for the illness with them staying inside their rooms until the test results are in.
