WWE NXT UK TV spoilers: Top NXT stars appear, Cardiff main event revealed

WWE held a TV taping for the NXT UK brand on Friday in Plymouth, England at the Plymouth Pavilions. Here are the spoilers, courtesy of Pro Wrestling.Net:

– Johnny Saint and Sid Scala open the show but Imperium comes out to threaten Johnny and Sid. Walter said there are no more challengers left. Tyler Bate’s music played and he jumped Walter in the ring. Bate cleared the ring. Walter vs. Tyler Bate for the U.K. Title is made official for NXT Takeover: Cardiff.

– “Gallus” Wolfgang and Mark Coffey beat “Pretty Deadly” Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley. Coffey and Wolfgang s cut a promo calling out Grizzled Young Veterans for a U.K. Tag Team Title match.

– Rhea Ripley defeated Dani Luna.

– Alexander Wolfe defeated Jordan Devlin.

– Noam Dar defeated Ashton Smith. After the match, Noam cuts a promo where he says that he will be at Takeover Cardiff.

– “The Grizzled Young Veterans” James Drake and Zack Gibson came out for a promo in the ring but Gallus interrupted. Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster also walked out to say they want a title match as well. GYV say that they’ve already earned their own spot at Takeover by being the champs.

– Jinny and Jazzy Gabert defeated Xia Brookside and Piper Niven. Rhea Ripley brawled with Piper to the back during the match. After the match, Shayna Baszler laid out Brookside.

– Joe Coffey vs. “Bomber” Dave Mastiff ends in a double count-out.

– Travis Banks defeated Kenny Williams. Noam Dar was on commentary for this match and jawed with Banks after the match.

– Isla Dawn defeated Nina Samuels.

– Kassius Ohno defeated Ilja Dragunov.

– NXT Tag Team Champions Matt Riddle and “The Street Profits” Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins defeated Joseph Conners and NXT U.K. Tag Team Champions “Grizzled Young Veterans” Zack Gibson and James Drake in the dark main event.
