WWE NXT viewership (5/25/21) drops for show headlined by Karrion Kross vs. Finn Balor

Last night’s episode of WWE NXT, featuring the NXT Championship match between Karrion Kross and Finn Balor, drew a 0.56 cable household rating. The total viewership came in at 698,000, slightly down from last week’s 700,000 viewers.

That is a disappointing number considering that the main event had an NXT TakeOver-level match and they were hyping the Million Dollar Face-off with Ted DiBiase and Cameron Grimes. Also, NXT has been getting more promos during Monday Night Raw. This week’s number is a sign that Kross is not yet a big draw or that fans are just showing less overall interest in the NXT product. In theory, the numbers should be up now that they don’t have to worry about competing against AEW Dynamite.

Here are some of the key demo numbers for last night:

– 18-49: 0.13 rating
– Males 18-49: 0.16 rating
– Males 18-34: 0.09 rating

NXT was up against the Boston Celtics vs. Brookly Nets NBA Playoff game on TNT so that may have hurt last night’s viewership/rating.

Thanks to Wade Keller at PWTorch.com for the NXT viewership numbers.
