WWE NXT Viewership Down Against Stanley Cup Final, Key Demo Rating Up

The viewership numbers for the June 17 episode of WWE NXT present a mixed story. The show averaged 660,000 viewers on The CW, a drop of 9.1 percent from the previous week and its lowest total audience since late May.

The decrease in overall viewership came as NXT went head-to-head with stiff competition from Game 6 of the NHL’s Stanley Cup Final. The hockey game dominated all of television, drawing nearly 2.4 million viewers on TBS alone.

However, there was significant positive news for the brand in the key 18-49 demographic. NXT drew a 0.16 rating in the demo, which is up 6.7 percent from last week. This marks the show’s best performance in that coveted category since April 22.

Compared to the same week in 2024 when the show aired on the USA Network, this week’s total viewership was down 8.8 percent, while the 18-49 rating saw a larger drop of 38.5 percent. Despite the tough competition, the increase in the key demo compared to the recent average is a strong sign for the show on its new network home.
