WWE officially acquires new TV production building, recent event attendance

– As we noted back in June, WWE placed a $27 million bid on the building that houses its TV production facility in Stamford, Connecticut. WWE wants to buy an office complex that was recently put up for sale as part of bankruptcy proceedings. There were more than 100 bidders for a total of eight properties that were made available for bidding.

In an update, WWE filed an 117-page document with the SEC on Thursday detailing the property transaction. WWE brought the property for $26.9 million under “WWE Real Estate Holdings, LLC.” WWE paid the seller $2.0 million, paying the lender $1.9 million to assume financial obligations, and setting up a new building loan of $23 million. The “note and mortgage assumption agreement” was executed on 9/13 and the building was officially acquired on 9/14.
