WWE officially announces The Buswhackers for the WWE Hall of Fame

It is now official. WWE announced on their website that The Bushwhackers will be the next inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame. Most fans may remember them for their late 80s/early 90s run but they were known (before their WWE run) as The Sheepherders. They were a no nonsense team known for bloody matches in Puerto Rico, the Pacific Northwest, and other parts of the world.

They wrestled in Mid South Wrestling in 1986 and feuded with Dr Death Steve Williams and Ted DiBiase for the UWF tag team titles. They would later sign with the NWA before joining the World Wrestling Federation in late 1988 where they would be turned into The Bushwhackers, a kid friendly tag team that would wave their arms in the air and lick the heads of fans at ringside.

The news first broke on Stuff.co.nz in an interview with Luke Williams and has now been confirmed on WWE.com.
