WWE officials comparing NXT 2.0 star to Kurt Angle

The Creed Brothers have been pushed as a rising tag team in WWE NXT 2.0 over the last few months while being as part of the Diamond Mind faction.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE management is very high on the Creed Brothers and believes Julius has picked up pro wrestling tremendously.

It was said, “there are internal comparisons being made of Julius and Kurt Angle when he started.” The idea within WWE  is that the Creed Brothers will at some point be WrestleMania headliners.

Julius, real name Jacob Kasper, attended Duke University where he was a collegiate wrestler and became a two-time NCCA All-American and a three-time NCAA Academic All-American. He also won the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference heavyweight championship set the Blue Devils record for the most wins in a single season and ranked second for overall career wins.

He placed fifth in the 2016 Olympic trials in the Greco-Roman and freestyle categories. Before signing with WWE, Julius was a training partner of Daniel Cormier at AKA.
