WWE Officials Reportedly ‘Very Impressed’ With Superstar

Trick Williams has been making waves across both NXT and TNA Wrestling, and his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. A new report from Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net indicates that WWE officials are “very impressed” with the work of the current TNA World Champion.

A Historic Championship Run

Over the past year, Williams has solidified himself as a top star. He is a two-time former NXT Champion, having won the title for the first time at NXT Spring Breakin’ in April 2024. His second reign began on October 1, 2024, with the debut of NXT on The CW. This past May, at NXT Battleground, Williams made history when he defeated Joe Hendry to win the TNA World Championship in the first-ever defense of that title on a WWE Premium Live Event.

Dominance Across Two Brands

Since winning the TNA World Championship, Williams has successfully defended the title against top challengers. His defenses include a victory over Mike Santana in June and, most recently, a win in the triple-threat main event of last night’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view, where he defeated both Santana and Joe Hendry.

Following his successful title defense at TNA Slammiversary, Trick Williams’ busy schedule continues. He is set to appear on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, where he will be involved in a confrontation with WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker.
