WWE KickOff

The Kickoff show panel consists of the usual Alex Riley, Josh Matthews, and Booker T. Special guest panelist is Kofi Kingston. CM Punk chants start the show. They talked about the card and they showed an instagram photo of Triple H looking really shredded.

They replayed some of the Daniel Bryan segment with Stephanie from Raw. There were LOUD CM Punk chants but the audio was muted quickly.

El Torito vs. Hornswoggle (Mask vs. Hair) – Lots of shenanigans in this match with everyone getting involved. At one point everyone except El Torito was on the outside and Hornswoggle dove on them and knocked them down like pins. The crowd loves this match. Hornswoggle ripped the mask off Torito but Torito had another mask underneath. El Torito pinned Hornswoggle. Hornswoggle got his head shaved bald.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro (United States Championship) – Paul Heyman came out (he got a great ovation) to introduce Cesaro. Heyman said that he is here tonight to advocate for a Paul Heyman Guy. When he said that then the arena chanted “CM PUNK.” Paul said “he’s not here, he’s at the United Center watching the Blackhawks get their streak broken by the LA Kings just like the king of all streaks was broken when my client Brock Lesnar conquered The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania.” There was a cool spot in the match with Sheamus trying to do the battering ram from the apron into the ring but Cesaro hit him with an uppercut. Cesaro got the swing on Sheamus. He spun him around 21 times but Sheamus won the match with a small package to retain his title. This was a really good match with a hot crowd adding a lot to it.

WWE Countdown commercial aired probably for the people that are watching on regular pay-per-view so they have a reason to subscribe to the network. They showed the backstage segment with the Rhodes brothers. I smell a heel turn coming from Cody.

Rhodes Brothers vs. Rybaxel – The announcers said that Cody looks confident. There were chants of “Lets go Hawks”. Blackhawks are up 2-0 right now. Big E came out with the American flag. Fans chanted “we want Ziggler” early in the match. Big E speared Rusev through the ropes to the outside. So far this is Rusev’s best match since he debuted. Rusev nailed Big E with a kick to the face when they got in the ring and then got the accolade on Big E. Big E tapped. Rusev wins.

They showed a commercial for Money In The Bank. Then they showed Daniel Bryan and Brie talking backstage.

Kofi Kingston vs. Bo Dallas – Bo grabbed the mic and said “I am Bo Dallas. And even though your hockey team the Blackhawks are going to lose their match tonight, that does not make all of you losers because all you have to do is BOLIEVE!” Then Kane’s music hit and Kane walked out. Bo ran out of the ring. Kane attacked Kofi. Kane chokeslammed Kofi and then tombstoned him. Bo watched in fear from the outside of the ring. Bo said, “don’t worry, you’re gonna be back on your feet in no time and better than ever and all you have to do is BOLIEVE.” Fans chanted We Bolieve. Cole pointed out that Kofi sent out tweets earlier today that were critical of Stephanie.

They showed highlights of the El Torito vs. Hornswoggle match.

RVD vs. Bad News Barrett (Intercontinental title) – Barrett said, “to those people that want to see RVD leave Payback as the new IC champion…i’m afraid i’ve got some bad news. Not only will RVD not get Payback…after tonight he won’t be getting anymore Paychecks. Someone needs to put old yeller down. The bull hammer is about to put RVD on a permanent summer vacation because I am BNB.” Pretty good match. Again, the crowd was into it with dueling Bad News Barrett and RVD chants. RVD missed the frog splash. Barrett hit the winds of change for a near fall. Barrett went for the bull hammer on the outside but he hit the post instead. RVD hit a DDT for another near fall. Barrett won with the bull hammer. Barrett retains.

The announcers said that Bryan should have 30 days to defend his title but questioned Stephanie forcing him to give up his title. Steph said that she wants Bryan to set an example for their future children. Bryan said that this is an opportunity for Steph to do the right thing. Fans chanted loudly for CM Punk during this. Steph said that these people want Bryan to quit just like CM Punk did. Brie called Steph a “b*tch” again. Steph said that the only crime Brie committed was making a poor choice in a husband. Bryan was about to hand it over but Brie said she refuses to be a powerless victim and Steph doesn’t control her. Brie said “how much this hurts me.. you can’t fire me… I quit!” Then she slapped Stephanie. Stephanie had a shocked look and ran off. Bryan and Brie led YES chants as his music played.

Legends House commercial.

Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena (Last Man Standing match) – There was an awesome visual when Bray came out during his entrance. Cena had a cut on his elbow. Bray got up on the outside of the ring but Cena threw the steps at Bray from inside the ring. The crowd went nuts for that. Bray got up again.
