WWE Planning To Bring Back Brock Lesnar?

After Brock Lesnar references were made on Monday’s WWE Raw, it looks more likely that the former WWE Champion could be returning.

Lesnar was dropped from WWE plans earlier this year, including matches at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 40, due to the sex trafficking lawsuit that Janel Grant filed against John Laurinaitis, Vince McMahon, and WWE. In the lawsuit, a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion was named.

The Wall Street Journal later identified Lesnar as that former champion. That case has been put on hold until December as the feds investigate. WWE’s legal team has yet to clear Lesnar, and he reportedly won’t be back until that happens.

On Raw, Seth Rollins was advised by Adam Pearce not to take a match with Bronson Reed, but Rollins reminded him that he had slayed beasts before. There was also a reference to Lesnar in Cody Rhodes’s in-ring segment with GUNTHER, where he stated he had slain a frightening beast.

On a recent edition of a Backstage Pass Q&A, it was asked whether Lesnar was returning to WWE following the Raw references. Bill Apter said that people in WWE have said they’re talking.

Apter said, “I can’t tell you definitely yes, but my inside people in WWE have told me they’re talking. That’s the most I know.” WrestleVotes responded when asked what he was hearing, “I’ll give you a short answer: Yes.”
