WWE Planning to Bring Back Gimmick Match for Survivor Series

WWE will host Survivor Series on Saturday, November 25, from the Allstate Arena in Chicago. The night before, Friday Night SmackDown will emanate from Allstate Arena, serving as the go-home show.

WWE is promoting it solely as the traditional Survivor Series theme, not as Survivor Series: WarGames like last year.

The 2022 show marked the first time WCW’s cage gimmick was used on WWE’s main roster after years of it being reserved for blowoff matches in NXT. Both the men and women got to take part in the themed bout.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that as of this week, WWE is planning to do the gimmick match for the second straight year at Survivor Series.

The report noted a men’s match on a table, and it was heavily implied Judgment Day would be a part of the match, but further details are unknown.
