WWE poll results suggest that Vince McMahon is wrong about Finn Balor

As we previously reported, Vince McMahon has apparently changed his mind on the rumored Royal Rumble Universal Championship main event between Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor. There had been speculation that the participants of the Fatal 5-Way match at this year's Extreme Rules pay-per-view – Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and Bray Wyatt – would line up to compete against Lesnar before his showdown with Reigns at WrestleMania 34. Out of the aforementioned names, Samoa Joe has been the only person to have a singles match with Lesnar, and the other names went on to engage in other feuds.

For Balor, his match looks to be scrapped due to McMahon reportedly not feeling that he is over enough. Glaring signs of this have occurred over the past few weeks, especially from Kane dominating him on an episode of Raw, attacking him on a following Raw, and Samoa Joe choking him out on a recent Raw.

WWE has now posted a poll on the site of who fans would want to see as Lesnar's next opponent. Interestingly, Balor is still an overwhelming favorite at 41% as of this article, and he was sure to make that known.

In addition, Braun Strowman is a strong second at 21 percent, while Triple is third at 10 percent. If these numbers mean anything, Vince may reconsider Balor not being "over enough." Balor has certainly made it a running joke, as seen from his Thanksgiving festivities.
