WWE posted a storyline update on Sami Zayn on their website following the attack by Kevin Owens at the end of last week’s NXT TakeOver special. WWE says that Zayn has full movement and sensation in his arms and legs after the powerbomb on the ring apron from Owens.
WWE also says that after he was taken to the hospital for further examination, the X-rays came back negative. The CT scan of his head was also negative. They report that he was diagnosed with cervical and thoracic muscle strains and was held overnight for observation. WWE says that he is expected to be back within three to four weeks.
As noted, this is a storyline injury. Zayn wrestled on Friday at the NXT tapings. His match will air on January 8th. They will be doing another set of tapings on January 15. I believe they will end up doing the Owens vs. Zayn match at the next NXT special which will probably be in March during the week of WrestleMania.
