WWE removes Ric Flair from the signature opening that airs before Raw and SmackDown

WWE removed Ric Flair’s “Wooooo!” from the signature opening that aired just before this week’s WWE Raw broadcast kicked off.

The signature is the video that kicks off every broadcast and includes clips from many of the main stars from the past and present that have worked with the company.

This is obviously a response to the Ric Flair backlash that has come out after last Thursday’s Dark Side of the Ring on Vice.

As we noted several days ago, WWE/Peacock also removed the WWE Story Time episode where Flair tells a story about his antics on an airplane flight with several flight attendants around him.

Flair issued a statement earlier tonight to deny the allegations made against him.

Flair’s Car Shield ads were removed from the airwaves on Friday and Tommy Dreamer has been indefinitely suspended from Impact Wrestling. Busted Open Radio announced today that Dreamer has been pulled from their shows and there is no timetable on when he might return.

Flair was expected to debut on AEW TV soon but at this point, it does not look like that will be happening.
