WWE Raw is being rewritten, tapings delayed

WWE is slated to hold TV tapings this week from Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. It starts today with the Raw brand.

The company will tape two episodes of Monday Night Raw – one episode for tonight and one episode for next week. However, the start of the tapings has been delayed, according to Pwinsider.com.

Per the report, the tapings were supposed to begin at 1 PM EST, but WWE didn’t start on time. The reason for the delay is due to the scripts of the shows having to be rewritten as apparently Vince McMahon changed his mind about the original plans for the shows.

The fallout from Sunday’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view event will be featured on tonight’s Raw episode.

This includes whether Asuka is still the Raw Women’s Champion after being pinned by Sasha Banks with Bayley acting as the referee and the storyline medical update on Rey Mysterio following his Eye for an Eye Match against Seth Rollins.

WWE changing the script for these episodes is likely why the company has only announced one match for tonight’s Raw, which is Randy Orton vs. Big Show in an unsanctioned match.
