WWE Monday Night Raw 8/10/15 results: WWE Championship match

Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole hypes that WWE will take an inside look into The Undertaker – Brock Lesnar feud. Stephen Amell will be the guest star as well as Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper will take place tonight.

Seth Rollins walks down to the ring to open the show. He cuts a promo about how this is “Monday night Rollins.” He brought up that he broke John Cena’s nose last week.

He brought up his challenge to John Cena for SummerSlam, but one week later there has still been no reply. Rollins wondered what Cena is doing with his free time. He said that Cena is not straight outta Compton, but straight out of action. He ruined Cena’s face with his knee. Rollins said that if Cena doesn’t want to face him, then Cena needs to vacate his U.S Championship. Either way, he will walk out of SummerSlam as both U.S and WWE Champion. He brought up that Cena will be appearing on tomorrow’s episode of Tough Enough, but he’s not tough enough to hang with him. Rollins said that Cena is here via satellite, but not live. A photo of Cena’s broken nose with Rollins’ voice is shown on the titantron. Rollins mocked Cena in the photo.

Rollins said that the WWE Universe deserves a fighting Champion and that’s who he is. He brought up he beat Neville last week on RAW. He said that Neville doesn’t have what it takes to be a man. Cesaro walked down to the ring to interrupt Rollins. Cesaro mocked Rollins for going on and on with his promo. Cesaro, who’s rocking a suit and some black shades, challenged Rollins to a match tonight. Rollins backtracked and said that there’s no open challenge for his WWE Championship tonight. Kevin Owens walked out to the stage and to the ring. Owens said that Cesaro has not done anything to deserve a title shot. Owens said that fans might hold up signs with Cesaro’s name, but that is not good enough to get a title shot. Owens brought up that he’s the only one to beat Cena, neither of them has done that.

Randy Orton walks down to the ring and said that this is all cut. He mocked Owens for putting on weight, Cesaro for wearing glasses and Rollins being The Authorities puppet. Orton said he should get a title shot.

Rollins said that he thinks all of these idiots should get out of his ring. Triple H walks and said that we are two week’s away from SummerSlam. Triple H said that Cena is 50/50 on if he’ll be able to wrestle at SummerSlam. Triple H said that there’s some great competition right now in the WWE. Triple H booked a triple threat match between Owens, Orton and Cesaro to crown a new number one contender for the WWE Championship in the main event of RAW.

-Commercial Break-

Six-diva tag team match: Team Bella vs. Team B.A.D – with Team PCB on commentary.

Alicia Fox and Naomi start things off, Fox with a headlock takeover. Naomi with a series of forearm shots, she ran into a back breaker by Fox for 2. Nikki Bella tagged in, she kicked the legs from under Naomi then worked her left arm over. Naomi was thrown into the corner, but she blocked and sent Nikki into her corner. Sasha Banks tagged in, they hit a double-team back elbow on Nikki  for 2. Naomi tagged back in and put the boots to Nikki in the corner. Nikki reversed an Irish whip, hit a back elbow, then a spine buster for 2. Nikki with a springboard kick to the face of Naomi.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Nikki Bella getting the hot tag to Brie. She hit a dropkick on Banks then a series of kicks to the chest of Banks. Brie ducked a clothesline and hit a drop kick. Brie with a missile dropkick off the middle rope. Brie went for a running knee, but Tamina Snuka got the blind tag and took out Brie with a clothesline. She missed a superkick and Brie rolled her up for the win.

Winners: Team Bella.

Post-match, a brawl broke out between all three Diva teams. Things break down. PCB and Team B.A.D stand tall in the ring staring at Team Bella, who are at ringside.

Tag team match: Los Matadores vs. Kofi Kingston and Big E.

Kofi and Diego start things off, Diego with a monkey flip, then a drop kick. Big E tagged in, he hit a big tackle on Diego. Big E stomps a mud hole in Diego in the corner as Prime Time Players watch on from the backstage area. Kofi tagged in and kicked Diego in the face. New Day beat down Diego until he managed to get the hot tag to Fernando. Fernando with a spinning elbow to Kofi Kingston. Fernando with a springboard tackle then a series of chops. Fernando kicked Big E in the chest, he was distracted by Xavier Woods, but El Torito took him out. Big E tagged in, he and Kofi hit their tag team finisher for the win.

Winners: New Day

Renee Young told New Day that they would be facing Los Matadores, Lucha Dragons and the Prime Time Players for the WWE Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam.
