Fresh off his victory over Jey Uso at Saturday Night’s Main Event, this will be Punk’s first appearance on WWE’s flagship show with the World Title in over a decade. Dominik Mysterio is still the Men’s Intercontinental Champion after his win against Rusev and Penta at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Judgment Day could add more gold tonight as Finn Balor and JD McDonagh get their World Tag Team Championship rematch. Two women’s tag team matches are also scheduled. Additionally, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley are being advertised for tonight’s episode, which emanates from the Rio Rancho Event Center.
World Tag Team Championship Match
AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will defend their World Tag Team Championship belts against the men they won them from, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. A tag team match is set as Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer teams with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella to face Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. This match was set up last week when Perez scored a big win over Bella. After the match, Perez and Rodriguez continued the attack until Vaquer ran down to make the save.
Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. Asuka & Kairi Sane
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria will face off against The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka, and Kairi Sane. A week ago, Bayley and Valkyria came up short in their effort to dethrone the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in the main event. They were not given a chance to recover, as The Kabuki Warriors chose that moment to ambush them and send a message.
Penta vs. El Grande Americano
Penta will be on a quest for revenge as he battles El Grande Americano. Penta has had several opportunities for the Men’s Intercontinental Championship this year, but has been screwed over by Dominik Mysterio. Last week, Dominik allegedly made a call to Los Americanos, who proceeded to ruin Penta’s chance at earning another one-on-one title match.
