WWE Raw Preview: Roman Reigns And CM Punk Set To Appear, Final Crown Jewel Build

Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, the final show before this Saturday’s Crown Jewel premium live event, is set to be a big edition with the advertised appearances of two of the biggest stars in the industry, Roman Reigns and CM Punk. The show, emanating from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, will also feature two women’s division matches as the road to Perth, Australia, concludes. Roman Reigns is scheduled to kick off the broadcast, and he will have a lot to say after his shocking return last week that saw him save his cousins, The Usos, from an attack by The Vision.

The main event of the September 29 episode of Raw saw The Usos take on The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a Tornado Tag Team Match. After a back-and-forth contest, Breakker and Reed had The Usos down and out, but before they could secure the victory, Roman Reigns’ music hit. The “Tribal Chief” stormed the ring with a steel chair and single-handedly took out both members of The Vision, allowing The Usos to recover and win the match. The post-match scene saw a tense but seemingly positive reunion between Reigns and his cousins, strongly suggesting that the original Bloodline has reformed to combat the new faction on Raw. With a potential Bloodline vs. The Vision showdown looming for Survivor Series, Reigns’ opening promo is sure to be a statement in the brewing war.

Also returning to Raw tonight is CM Punk, for the first time since his victorious in-ring return at the Wrestlepalooza premium live event. At that show, Punk teamed with his wife, AJ Lee, to defeat World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. While Rollins is now focused on his Champion vs. Champion match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, it is highly unlikely that Punk is finished with “The Visionary.”

In women’s division action, Becky Lynch will look to take out her recent frustrations on Maxxine Dupri of the Alpha Academy. “The Man” is still fuming after submitting to AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza, a frustration that boiled over last week when she got into a confrontation with the Alpha Academy.

In the other announced match, Lyra Valkyria will face Roxanne Perez. Valkyria has recently found herself in the middle of Bayley’s ongoing personality crisis and her battles with The Judgment Day, a faction that Perez is now aligned with. Other stars expected to be in attendance for the go-home show include the new Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, and The Kabuki Warriors.
