WWE Raw Preview: Three Title Matches, Liv Morgan’s TV In-Ring Return, More

Tonight marks a historic milestone for WWE as Monday Night Raw celebrates its one-year anniversary on Netflix live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.. Headlining the night is a World Heavyweight Championship match between the reigning champion, CM Punk, and the challenger, Bron Breakker.

There has not been a WWE or World Heavyweight Champion under the age of 30 since the late Bray Wyatt captured the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber in 2017. Breakker has the opportunity to snap that nine-year streak tonight. However, CM Punk has remained defiant, stating he is not ready to relinquish his spot at the top of the mountain just yet.

Beyond the main event, the card features two other championship bouts and an anticipated return. Maxxine Dupri will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch. While Dupri has openly admitted that Lynch is the greatest female wrestler in WWE history, Lynch has spiraled into a “conspiracy theory rabbit hole” in recent weeks. “The Man” is convinced the company is plotting against her and believes she is still the rightful champion.

In the tag team division, The Kabuki Warriors will defend their titles against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. The challengers, known as “RhIYO,” are riding a wave of momentum after delivering a Riptide and Over the Moonsault combination to Kairi Sane on SmackDown.

Additionally, Liv Morgan is set to wrestle her first televised match in over six months against former Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria. The show is also expected to feature appearances from Paul Heyman, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, Austin Theory, New World Tag Team Champions The Usos, and Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Chris Jericho is also rumored to make his return, something WWE teased in a recent video.
