WWE Raw Preview: Two Matches, Stephanie Vaquer Appearance

WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has announced several major additions to the lineup for tonight’s episode, which will be the first show following this past Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza premium live event. In a series of announcements made on Monday afternoon, Pearce confirmed that the newly crowned WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, will appear live on the show.

Additionally, a singles match between Bayley and Roxanne Perez has been added to the card, along with a six-man No Disqualification tag team match. The other new match will see The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods team up with Grayson Waller to take on the trio of The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) and Penta. These bouts join the previously announced segment, which will see the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, kick off the show to address the WWE Universe following his successful title defense at Wrestlepalooza.

Tonight’s episode of Raw will focus heavily on the fallout from the inaugural Wrestlepalooza premium live event. Stephanie Vaquer’s appearance comes just two days after she defeated Iyo Sky in a match to become the new WWE Women’s World Champion, filling the vacancy for the title. Cody Rhodes will address his own victory, where he retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against his long-time rival, Drew McIntyre, in the main event of the show.

Tonight’s show will once again air at the special time of 7 p.m. Eastern and will emanate from the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
