WWE Raw ratings for 7/1/19 see a big increase for the first show in the Paul Heyman era

It looks like the buzz heading into this week’s WWE Monday Night Raw show paid off for them as this week’s viewership was up. The show averaged 2,496,000 viewers.

The show started strong with 2,468,000 viewers and they picked up more viewers in the second hour. The third hour lost some viewers but it wasn’t as bad as most weeks.

This is welcome news for WWE in addition to the sell out crowd for this week’s show and a great sign for Paul Heyman as many fans tuned in to see what changes were coming to the show. Heyman’s fingerprints were on this week’s show and you can expect more of his influence in the coming weeks and months.

Here is the hourly breakdown:

Hour 1 – 2,468,000 viewers
Hour 2 – 2,676,000 viewers
Hour 3 – 2,345,000 viewers

This week’s show featured Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman being taken away in an ambulance after crashing through the Raw set, AJ Styles turning heel to reform The Club, The Undertaker’s promo, the big angle with Mike and Maria Kanellis and more Extreme Rules hype.
