Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn come face to face

World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns opened Raw.

“Everybody wants the OTC’s attention. Y’all are the only ones that I want to pay attention to,” Reigns said. He brought up “the secondary champ Sami Zayn running his mouth last week” and Royce Keys’ group, The 946, who he called “the biggest haters of them all.”

“They’ve been trying to get at my Bloodline for a minute now,” Reigns said. “We walked up into San Diego and we whooped y’all’s a**.”

Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn came out.

Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns face to face on WWE Raw in Brooklyn

“You’re out here wasting your breath talking about the 946, when you and I have a match just a few days away,” Zayn said. “I know for a fact you heard what I said last week on Monday Night Raw. And I’m sure you have a lot to say about it, but I want you to know something. I’m not talking out of school. I said that stuff. You happen to not be there, but I would say every word of that to your face.”

Zayn added, “You didn’t need to be there in Fresno. Quite frankly, you don’t need to be here in Brooklyn either,” and said they should talk “family to family, champion to champion.”

Reigns told Zayn that “the person who benefited the most from the Bloodline is you.”

“If I didn’t bring you into the Bloodline, you wouldn’t even be a part of this company anymore,” Reigns said. “If I didn’t bring you into the Bloodline, you definitely wouldn’t be a champion right now.” He added, “When I found you, you were just Johnny Knoxville’s little b*tch out there doing Jackass kind of things.”

Zayn answered by bringing up his match with Knoxville at WrestleMania 38.

“Everybody remembers that match,” Zayn said. “They’re going to remember that match in 10 years. They’re going to remember that match in 20 years. … You know who remembers your match at WrestleMania 38? Nobody. … Roman versus Brock Lesnar, part six of 12.”

“The most memorable thing you did in the last five years is get hit by a chair, and I was the one who swung it,” Zayn said. “I’m not gonna stand here and act like I’m not the WWE champion. I earned it. … I deserve your undivided attention, and I am going to get it one way or the other.”

Reigns said Zayn only owed him thanks. “If I didn’t beat Brock in that main event, it wouldn’t exist right now,” Reigns said of the title. “It wouldn’t be on your waist right now.”

“All he does is come out here and complain and moan, b*tch and whine,” Reigns said. “I don’t acknowledge or pay attention to little hoes, Sami. This is your final week on the island of relevancy. So enjoy it, because after this weekend, after I’m done smashing a little b*tch a**, ain’t nobody ever gonna talk about you again.”

Reigns ended the segment by telling the Brooklyn crowd to acknowledge him.

Reigns and Zayn meet in a champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable (c) vs. Ethan Page

A video package aired on the feud. In it, Page said Gable had been handing out title shots to talent he called undeserving, naming Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio, while Page chased his own opportunity for months. Page said that after tonight, Gable’s dream and his spot on the poster would be gone.

Page made his entrance, and Raw went to a commercial break.

Page went after Gable’s neck and upper back, sending him sternum first into the turnbuckles twice. Gable clotheslined Page over the top rope to the floor. Page got near falls with a neckbreaker and a DDT. Gable answered with near falls from a sunset flip, an inside cradle and a crucifix. Page hot-shotted Gable and hit a running boot for another near fall.

Gable went after Page’s leg, wrenching it into the ring post and hitting two dragon screws, then a pair of German suplexes. When Gable went for Chaos Theory, Page pulled the pad off a turnbuckle. Gable put Page through an Olympic Slam on the announce table and hit a moonsault back in the ring for a near fall.

Page threw Gable into the timekeeper’s area at ringside. Back in the ring, Gable hit an overhead belly-to-belly superplex for a near fall, but Page got his knees up on a diving headbutt. Gable kicked out of a cutter and Page kicked out of Chaos Theory. Page countered Gable off the top rope with a powerslam for a near fall.

Gable went back to the ankle lock. Page sent Gable into the exposed turnbuckle and hit the Egoplex for the win.

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Ethan Page

Gable came in with his neck taped after Page hit him with an Egoplex on the floor last week in Fresno. Gable had held the title since August.

Backstage

Penta, Dragon Lee and Je’Von Evans were shown warming up in a ring in the backstage area before their six-man tag team match against The Vision.

Joe Hendry speaks

Joe Hendry came to the ring and said he couldn’t pretend everything was OK after being crashed by Bronson Reed and attacked by JD McDonagh. Hendry said the one thing his opponents can’t take from him is his belief in himself, and that he will bounce back and get the world to chant “We Believe” again.

The Bloodline gets ready for The 946

A video package aired on the feud between The Bloodline and Royce Keys’ group, The 946, ahead of Solo Sikoa vs. Royce Keys tonight.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa were in the locker room when Roman Reigns showed up. Reigns told them he wasn’t leaving until they got the job done tonight.

Iyo Sky, Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez

A recap aired of SmackDown, where The Judgment Day stopped Tiffany Stratton from cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Liv Morgan before Iyo Sky made the save for Stratton and WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green.

Green faces Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel on Saturday. Raquel Rodriguez turned the match around with her power, and Sky hit a crossbody off the top rope to the floor.

Perez, Morgan and Rodriguez cut the ring off on Sky until Sky got the tag to Stratton, who hit a cartwheel into an Alabama Slam and a swanton on Morgan for a near fall. Rodriguez powerbombed Stratton. Green hit the Unprettier, but Rodriguez pulled her out of the ring before the pin and sent Stratton over the announce table. Morgan made a blind tag, and after Green slapped Perez off the apron, Morgan hit Oblivion on Green for the win.

Winners: Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez

Morgan pinned Green five days before they meet in a champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel.

Royce Keys sends a message

Backstage on a set of stairs, Royce Keys stood with The 946 and told Solo Sikoa that while the group is about strength in numbers, tonight it’s the two of them one-on-one.

JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio

JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio came out before John Cena’s segment. Mysterio asked why everyone cared that Cena was there, since he had retired, and said he beat Cena at Survivor Series. McDonagh said The Judgment Day would get back on top of Raw and bring gold back to the clubhouse, and Mysterio said Liv Morgan would show the world at Crown Jewel why she is the greatest Women’s World Champion.

John Cena announces the John Cena Classic

John Cena made his first Raw appearance since retiring, with a covered belt waiting in the ring.

“Man, oh man, Brooklyn, New York, we are sold out here tonight,” Cena said. “This is the center of the world. If you want to make history, if you got a big announcement, you bring yourself to New York City.”

Cena made three announcements about the John Cena Classic. The first was the date and place: Monday, December 14 at Disney World.

“December 14 is going to make history because for the first time ever there will be two Raws on one Monday night,” Cena said. “One emanating live from Perth, and then again that evening in a special edition of Monday Night Raw, the John Cena Classic is brought to you live from Disney World in Orlando, Florida.”

WWE said on X that the event will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The second announcement was the John Cena Classic Championship, which Cena unveiled in the ring.

“I have my heart and soul in this event,” Cena said. “My name is on this event. This event encapsulates every single thing I stand for: perseverance, hustle, loyalty, respect.” Cena said that out of respect for the fans, “the power to vote will live at Club WWE.”

The third announcement was the first entrant: Cody Rhodes.

John Cena and Cody Rhodes in the ring on WWE Raw in Brooklyn

“Brooklyn understands why you are number one,” Cena told Rhodes. “Number one sets the pace, sets the tone. There’s going to be more invites.” Cena said he will be at NXT on Wednesday, on Raw and SmackDown, and at Survivor Series in Houston to invite more wrestlers.

Cena then took back what he said about Rhodes on New York radio. “Somebody asked me about Cody Rhodes being QB1. You all know what I said? I said you’re carrying a weight that you can’t handle. I was wrong. You’re just carrying it better than I ever could,” Cena said. “I love you, bud, and I’m so glad to officially invite you to the John Cena Classic.”

Randy Orton’s music hit while Cena and Rhodes were hugging. Rhodes faces Orton in a Last Man Standing match at Crown Jewel on Saturday.

Randy Orton: “I retired your father”

Cena walked past Orton on the way out without acknowledging him. Orton and Rhodes stared each other down in the ring before Orton posed on the turnbuckles. Rhodes took off his jacket and tie, but Orton told him to calm down and said he wanted to talk about what Last Man Standing means, calling it a stipulation Rhodes has “zero experience in.”

“I was in this ring, taking bumps, breaking into this business, bleeding, sweating with the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Dave Bautista. Now they’re all gone and retired, and that’s fine. I am happy for them,” Orton said. “I have zero aspirations to be a movie star, to have my face and name on a bottle of alcohol, an ice cream cone. None of that matters to me. I was born to do this. I’m a third-generation professional wrestler.”

Orton said that if Rhodes breaks his back on Saturday, he will have WWE pay for surgery “to stitch me up like freaking Robocop to come back and do what I love to do.”

Orton then brought up Dusty Rhodes. “Six months we’ve been bumping heads, going back and forth. We have never brought up the fact that your father and I wrestled in 2007 at the Great American Bash in a Texas Bull Rope match,” Orton said. “I retired your father. His last match was with me, and I literally rang his bell, and then I kicked him in the head.”

Orton told Rhodes that if his American dream was to be just like his father, he would make sure “that dream comes true” on Saturday at Crown Jewel.

Commentary announced that Cena and Rhodes will be at NXT on Wednesday to present the trophy to the winners of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Bayley runs into Jade Cargill

A recap aired of last week’s match between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.

Backstage, Bayley was asking Adam Pearce what was next for her when Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab walked in. Cargill told Bayley, “You better get out of my face before you end up like Charlotte.”

“We don’t know each other very well, but people talk, and I’ve heard all about how pathetic you all are. It’s nice to see that it’s true,” Bayley said.

Penta, Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee vs. The Vision

Logan Paul spoke before the match, saying The Vision had been destroying Penta and Evans for weeks and would send Evans, Penta and Dragon Lee “back into obscurity.” Paul said Penta and Evans would be embarrassed by the tag team champions at Crown Jewel on Saturday.

All six men brawled at the bell. Penta hit a flip dive off Lee’s back onto all three members of The Vision.

The Vision isolated Lee until Penta got the tag and hit a wraparound bulldog and a handstand kick for a near fall. Evans and Penta hit a series of superkicks on Breakker for a near fall. Breakker missed a spear on Evans and went into the ring post, and Penta stopped Logan Paul from handing his Money in the Bank briefcase to Austin Theory. Bronson Reed hit a Death Valley Driver on Lee on the floor. Back in the ring, Evans missed a cutter, and Breakker speared him for the win.

Winners: Austin Theory, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

Breakker and Theory defend the World Tag Team Championship against Penta and Evans at Crown Jewel on Saturday.

Commentary also noted that the night of the John Cena Classic will feature two Raws: one live from Perth, Australia, and the special edition from Disney World that evening. Fans can pre-register for more information at WWE.com/CenaClassic. Our full story is here: John Cena announces the John Cena Classic.

Backstage, Liv Morgan told Jackie Redmond that pinning Chelsea Green was just another day at the office for The Judgment Day. A commotion broke out behind them as Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin attacked Bayley.

Main event: Solo Sikoa vs. Royce Keys

Solo Sikoa in the ring on WWE Raw in Brooklyn

Solo Sikoa was waiting in the ring. Royce Keys came through the crowd with a security detail and climbed over the barricade. Keys called out Solo after weeks of The 946 going after The Bloodline.

Keys told referee Sean Bennett to get out of the way, but Solo struck first with a chop and headbutts. Keys answered with a big right hand and a running crossbody. Solo turned it around and sent Keys to the floor as Raw went to a commercial break.

On the floor, Solo tried to whip Keys into the steel steps, but Keys stopped short and Solo went into the steps instead. Keys hit a back drop driver onto the apron. Keys controlled the match with splashes in the corner and a powerslam for a near fall. Solo came back with a flying clothesline and a running hip attack, but missed the Samoan Spike, and Keys hit a sit-out spinebuster for a near fall. Solo knocked Keys off the top rope and hit a frog splash. As Solo set up for the Samoan Spike, OTM and Carmelo Hayes attacked him, and the referee called for the bell.

Winner: Solo Sikoa by disqualification

Cruz Montana joins The 946, Sami Zayn attacks Roman Reigns

Sami Zayn and Cruz Montana on WWE Raw in Brooklyn

After the match, Roman Reigns came out with Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. Reigns and Keys exchanged words, and Reigns threw the first punch. Reigns hit Superman punches on Keys and Hayes, but as he set up for a spear on Keys, a masked man threw a chair at Reigns and hit him with a discus clothesline. The man took off his mask and revealed himself as Cruz Montana, the newest member of The 946.

The 946 then took out The Bloodline. Jaida Parker handcuffed Jimmy to the ropes. Price hit Solo with the steel steps. The 946 held Reigns down to watch Jey get double chokeslammed through a table, Hayes attacked the handcuffed Jimmy, and Keys hit Reigns with a spinebuster.

When Reigns got back to his feet, Sami Zayn ran in and hit him with a Helluva Kick, and Raw went off the air. Zayn and Reigns meet in a champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
