WWE Raw Results: CM Punk Defeats Bron Breakker; Special Start Time Announced For Next Week

CM Punk survived a chaotic main event on Monday Night Raw to retain his World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker. The match featured heavy outside interference, a brawl through the crowd, and a table spot before Punk secured the victory.

The contest highlighted the clash of styles between the two competitors. Punk relied on his technical grappling to ground the challenger, while Breakker utilized his explosive strength, connecting with a powerslam and his signature belly-to-belly suplexes.

The intensity ramped up as both men took risks. After missing an initial attempt, Breakker successfully hit a Frankensteiner from the top rope for a close near fall. Punk fought back, countering a press slam into a DDT before landing a leg lariat and his signature top-rope elbow drop.

The Vision Interferes

The match descended into chaos when Paul Heyman distracted the official, signaling “The Vision” (Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory) to attack the champion. Theory delivered a curb stomp to Punk, but the advantage was short-lived. Rey Mysterio, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Dragon Lee rushed the ring to make the save, brawling with The Vision into the crowd and away from the action.

The Finish

Back in the ring, the physicality continued. Breakker missed a spear, colliding with the ring post, which allowed Punk to execute a Go To Sleep followed by a piledriver—but Breakker kicked out. The bout then transitioned into a submission battle, cycling through a Fujiwara armbar, the Anaconda Vice, and an STF before Heyman interfered again, forcing Punk to break the hold.

The fight spilled to the floor, where Breakker countered a suicide dive with a mid-air punch. He then drove Punk through the announce table with a massive elbow drop from the top turnbuckle. Dragging the champion back into the ring, Breakker lowered his straps for a finishing spear. As he charged, Punk countered with a knee to the head and immediately lifted Breakker for a second Go To Sleep to secure the pinfall.

Special Start Time for Next Week

Before the main event, commentary announced a special schedule for next week. The January 12 episode of Raw will have a special start time of 2:00 PM Eastern and will be headlined by Gunther vs. AJ Styles.
