WWE will present an important episode of Monday Night Raw tonight as it will feature the fallout from Saturday’s Backlash PLE, the first night with the new talent rosters stemming from the Draft, and will have three important matches take place.
WWE has confirmed that there will be 12 Superstars who will compete in matches on Raw and SmackDown to determine who will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on May 27.
There will be two triple threat matches taking place on Raw, and another set of triple threat matches on SmackDown.
For Raw, the winners from those two matches will face off later in the show in the semi-finals. They will do the same on SmackDown. The winners of the semi-finals (both singles matches) will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions.
Boozer 666, which has broken past WWE stories, notes that Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor vs. The Miz and Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura will take place.
The opening segment will see Rhodes kick off the show, leading to his triple threat match.
At Backlash, Rhodes beat a bloody Brock Lesnar in the main event while Rollins went over Omos, and Priest lost to Bad Bunny in a street fight.
As previously reported, it appears that a top WWE star is expected to make a return to television soon, potentially as early as tonight.
