WWE Raw Star Expected To Be Positioned As Top Babyface In 2026

LA Knight has had a difficult week in terms of wins and losses, but a new report suggests his standing within WWE remains strong. Knight made it to the finals of the “Last Time is Now” tournament on SmackDown last Friday, where he faced Gunther for the chance to wrestle John Cena in his retirement match. Despite a valiant effort, Gunther emerged victorious, submitting Knight to earn the John Cena retirement bout.

Things did not improve for “The Megastar” on Monday Night Raw. After saving Rey Mysterio from a beatdown earlier in the night, Knight faced Logan Paul in the main event. The match ended in chaos when a mystery masked man interfered, stomping Knight’s face into the announce table and allowing Paul to secure the win.

The assault continued after the bell, with The Vision (Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed) decimating Knight. The attack culminated backstage where Bronson Reed delivered a Tsunami splash to Knight on top of a car, leading to Knight being taken away in an ambulance.

Despite these setbacks, Bodyslam.net reports that Knight is still considered a “top player” for the company. Sources indicate that 2026 is expected to be a much better year for him.

“Knight is being positioned as one of the top babyfaces in the company and with him being involved with The Vision, it’s only going to grow the crowd reactions in a more positive way,” the report states. “The company is aware of the reactions and want to play the long game with Knight.”
