WWE Raw Star Jey Uso Shares Update Following Concussion Protocol News

WWE Superstar Jey Uso has provided an update to his fans after sustaining an injury at the “Wrestlepalooza” premium live event on Saturday, September 20. On Sunday, Uso posted a photo to his Instagram Stories showing a visible cut on his forehead and a blood-stained towel, along with the caption, “Im good,” signaling to his followers that he is recovering.

The injury occurred during a tag team match at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where Jey Uso teamed with his brother, Jimmy Uso, to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The injury was the result of an accident involving a steel chair. During the match, Jey Uso struck Bron Breakker with the chair, which then ricocheted and hit Uso in the head, causing him to be busted open.

Following the incident, the match concluded with Breakker spearing both Usos through a table before Reed hit his “Tsunami” splash on Jey for the pinfall victory. Jey Uso was helped to the back, evaluated by medical personnel and, as reported by Bryan Alvarez, has been placed in WWE’s concussion protocol as a required safety measure.

The photo shared by Uso is his first public communication since the incident. The image clearly displays the effects of the chair shot.

WWE has not yet made an official public statement regarding the specifics of Jey Uso’s injury or a potential timeline for his return to in-ring competition. Being in the concussion protocol means he will have to be medically cleared by WWE’s doctors before he can perform again.

This injury comes at a significant time for Jey Uso, who has been featured prominently as a singles competitor and in the tag team division alongside his brother. Best wishes to Jey on a speedy recovery.
