WWE Raw superstar Zoey Stark confirmed today that she has suffered a significant knee injury, tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. In a video posted to her social media accounts, Stark revealed she has already undergone surgery to repair the damage and that her road to recovery has officially begun.
In her video update, Stark shared that the operation was more extensive than initially anticipated. She noted that a procedure scheduled to last two hours ultimately took three and a half hours to complete. Despite the complexity, the surgery was successful, and Stark has started the rehabilitation process.
The injury occurred three weeks ago on the May 19th episode of WWE Raw. Stark was in a match when she performed a missile dropkick and landed awkwardly, causing the severe damage to her knee.
Injuries involving a combination of ACL, MCL, and meniscus tears are among the most serious for professional athletes. The recovery and rehabilitation process is lengthy and intensive, typically requiring nine months to a year or more before an athlete can be cleared for a return to high-impact competition. The exact timetable for Stark’s return will depend on the progress she makes during her rehab.
In her social media video, Stark did not provide a specific timeline for her return to the ring. However, she did give her followers something to look forward to, telling them to “tune in” next Monday, June 16. We wish her the best for a full recovery.
