WWE Raw: The Undertaker mentions AJ Styles’ real name, says he couldn’t hang with guys like Eddie Guerrero
This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw kicked off with The Undertaker giving his go-home promo for WrestleMania.
The promo was shot on a set instead of the ring in the empty Performance Center. Since AJ Styles decided to make things personal, Taker refereed to Styles as Allen Jones (his real name) and he promised to make Styles famous.
Taker said Styles chose not to sign with WWE 15 years ago because he couldn’t hang with guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Edge, Eddie Guerrero and others but he decided to join WWE once they were all gone. He also said Styles was probably bothered by Michelle McCool doing the Styles Clash better than him.
The promo sounded like Taker was bringing back the “American Bad Ass” version of his character with the “Make You Famous” line but most likely, he probably adjusted to fit the current circumstances since the Deadman character does not work as well without an audience.
Here’s a clip from the opening segment with The Undertaker:
