WWE Raw Viewership Down For June 16 Episode Against NBA Finals

The June 16 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw saw a decrease in viewership, facing stiff competition from the NBA Finals. According to Netflix’s weekly Tudum report, the broadcast brought in 2.7 million global views and 5.0 million global hours viewed in its first seven days of availability.

These numbers are down from the previous week’s episode on June 9, which garnered 2.9 million global views and 6.1 million global hours viewed. It should be noted that the listed runtime for the June 16 episode was 1 hour and 47 minutes, shorter than the 2 hours and 3 minutes from the week prior.

The show went up against game five of the NBA Finals on ABC, which featured the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers and drew a substantial audience of 9.54 million viewers. Despite the competition, Raw still ranked in the Top 10 on Netflix in seven countries, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The episode was significant, featuring the conclusion of the first-round matches for both the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments, as well as the surprise return of Goldberg, who confronted World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER to set up a future retirement match.
