WWE RAW viewership for 9/26/16: Presidential Debate crushes Raw viewership

As everyone expected, the Presidential Debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton crushed the competition on cable. More than 80 million people across 12 networks tuned in to watch the debate. It was the most watched debate in history. There were also several millions that watched the debate on the internet and the 80 million viewers does not include PBS and C-SPAN so the final number might be closer to 100 million.

The first hour of Raw drew 2,850,000 viewers. The second hour drew 2,381,000 viewers and just 2,203,000 viewers for the third hour. They averaged 2,478,000 viewers for the entire show. WWE knew that they’d get clobbered so they didn’t do too much creatively this week. They should be able to rebound back to their normal numbers for next week.

The Monday Night Football game between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints drew 8,047,000 viewers.
