It’s been stated several times on news websites and people associated with WWE that there are big plans for Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
The first show is expected to be treated like a pay-per-view with names like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns already advertised to be there in Los Angeles. Now, it appears that we’re getting some confirmation on plans for more mature content.
Netflix already has a dedicated section for WWE content and, as seen below, Raw is listed as a TV-14 show. What does this mean? Well, this does not mean that we’ll see some of the crass content that fans saw during the Attitude Era but what this likely does mean is we’ll be seeing more uncensored promos and more freedom to get a little more risque with storylines.
The Rock’s promos were oftentimes censored by Fox and the USA Network. That will not be a problem on Netflix.
WWE ratings on Netflix are currently listed as:
• #WWERaw = TV-14
• #SmackDown = MA
• #WWENXT = PG pic.twitter.com/3zVhSwpwlE— AIR (@AIRGold_) November 18, 2024
